NFC Card Setup

1

Purchase NFC Tags

Get NTAG215 or NTAG216 NFC stickers (supports iOS reading). Available on Amazon, AliExpress.

NTAG215: 504 bytes, NTAG216: 888 bytes - both sufficient for URL storage

2

Write URL to NFC Tag

Use NFC Tools app (iOS/Android) to write the experience URL:

https://your-domain.pages.dev/e/YOUR_CARD_ID

Select "URL" record type, paste your card's experience URL

3

Attach to Physical Card

Stick NFC tag behind or inside your printed card. Position near the top-back of card (where phones typically read).

4

Lock the Tag (Optional)

Lock the NFC tag to prevent rewriting. This is permanent, so make sure the URL is correct.

iOS Compatibility

Supported (No App Needed):

  • iPhone 7 and later
  • iOS 11+ (background reading)
  • iOS 13+ (auto URL open)
  • No app required for URL NFC

Key Points:

  • Phone screen must be ON
  • Tap near top of iPhone
  • Safari opens automatically
  • Works through thin card stock

Plan B: QR Code (Universal Fallback)

Works on all phones, all platforms

Steps:

  1. 1

Open card in Editor and go to Link tab

  2. 2

    Download the auto-generated QR code

  3. 3

Print QR code on the card (recommended: back side or corner)

  4. 4

User scans with camera app → Safari opens → AR experience loads

Tip: Combine NFC + QR on the same card for maximum compatibility
